HumanKIND + La14 + Sweet Vanessa
We set an aggressive goal for August, 2021. In addition to funding food for families in need, we were determined to provide backpacks with school supplies to kids that can’t afford the school essentials. Our cookie sales alone weren’t going to be enough, so we asked for help through our IG. We wanted each kid to feel motivated about school, but more so, to know they are important and we care. Our second objective was to support our favorite store in Cali, La14, which is home to >2500 employees and is struggling to survive the pandemic.
We were blessed with help from Sweet Vanessa who shared our message and enabled an option to donate the kits through their website, and with La14, that once again prepared each item with love and care.
This was one of the most rewarding moments as so many joined us and helped multiplying our contribution. Together we funded 113 backpacks with basic school supplies.
